CURRENT EXHIBITION

Market Gallery is once again delighted to present the Sample-Studios Annual Members Exhibition.  Originally on display at the Lord Mayor’s Pavillion in Fitzgerald’s Park, Cork, this exciting selection has come on tour to Market Gallery and will remain on show until October 11th.  Featuring work from 45 Sample-Studios Members, this exhibition is an excellent showcase of the richness and diversity of work being produced by their growing community of artists.

About Sample-Studios

Sample-Studios is Ireland’s largest artist studios. They are based in Churchfield, Cork City and have a membership of over 200 artists.  Sample-Studios launch, support, and sustain creative careers through high quality and affordable studio space, professional development training, residencies and exhibition opportunities.  Since their formation in 2011, they have helped to nurture the artistic and cultural vibrancy in Cork and the surrounding region.  Market Gallery is delighted to partner with Sample-Studios once again to host their annual members exhibition.

OPEN CALL

SUBMISSION WINDOW FOR LAYERS OF THE LAND IS NOW CLOSED.

Unfortunately we cannot accept any late submissions.

This has been an incredibly popular open call with 140 submissions in total.  We recieved applications from around the world with several from the UK, Europe, and one submission all the way from India!  

The standard of applications is remarkable.  This will be a tough one for the gallery to choose...

Exhibition lineup will be chosen in the coming week and applicants will be notified of selection result by 20th September. 

Layers of the Land is scheduled to open on the 16th October. 

This is our final open call exhibition of 2026. We will announce details for the January open call in November.
